I’m Koalani Lahr, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California with over 15 years of experience. I specialize in pregnancy and postpartum challenges, parenting triggers, anxiety, and stress management. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches such as Mindful Self-Compassion, Somatic Therapy, EMDR, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I earned my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego, where I completed my clinical training in a children’s outpatient psychiatry setting, building a strong foundation in child development. For seven years, I had the privilege of supporting individuals and couples in the military navigate pregnancy and early parenthood, including those who had struggled with infertility, difficult pregnancies, or intrusive postpartum thoughts, as well as the challenges of returning to work or raising multiple children.
I bring connection, safety, and understanding into the therapeutic space to give my clients a place where they can slow down and reconnect with themselves.

I work with you one-on-one, and together we can process and explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I work with individuals from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, and I am LGBTQ+ affirming.
TELETHERAPY
My practice is fully virtual. All sessions are offered via a HIPAA compliant video platform for residents in the State of California. Attend your sessions from the comfort of your own home.
PARENTING SUPPORT
Parenting can be both joyful and exhausting. I will provide you with a non-judgmental space to process your experience, while also learning communication and intentional parenting skills.
